Legislative Update

IDHA hosted a legislative day at Indian Hills Community College on December 8th. Thanks to Justine Munger and Amanda Jay for helping host along with the students and our lobbyist Tom Cope. They were able to talk with State Rep. Hans Wilz of Ottumwa.    

Announcement of Approved Amendments to the IDHA Bylaws

The IDHA Board of Directors met on Oct 4, 2025 and approved the Bylaw amendments that were made available to Iowa Members of ADHA on Aug 27, 2025.

Announcement of Proposed Amendments to the IDHA Bylaws

The IDHA Board of Directors will be voting on bylaw amendments at their October 4, 2025 meeting. These proposed bylaw amendments will be viewable to members of IDHA in the member area tab of the IDHA website. IDHA will also be emailing our members this notification as well. This email will be sent on August 27, 2025.  Any member that would like clarification on these amendments can email the Board at [email protected].

Interstate Compact Licensure

Iowa is the FIRST state in the Nation to be part of the Interstate Compact Licensure!!! This bill involves allowing portability of Dental Hygienists and Dentists licensure! IDHA President, Donella Miller, was in attendance during this momentous milestone!
