Hello from the Quad Cities! We welcome you to join us for any of our events!

Quad Cities Component News

Welcome to September and the Quad Cities Dental Hygienists' continuing education program. As we have informed you recently, we will cease as a component the end of this year so we highly recommend and urge you to attend our locally presented programs this fall dealing strictly with dental hygiene issues.  On Saturday morning, September 30, 2017 we are pleased to sponsor "Healthy Strategies" -- staying healthy while delivering expert dental services to our patients. (Check out the flier for more information)

This is a program of evaluating and incorporating equipment and instruments by Cindy Purdy, BSDH, CEAS, (Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist from Colorado State University).  Thirty- seven years of clinical dental hygiene has fueled Cindy's passion for workplace wellness and security.   She will lead us in demonstrations, introduce us to products and emerging technologies, and maybe even some exercises that we can incorporate immediately into our workplace.

We will be meeting at the MISSISSIPPI BEND AREA EDUCATION AGENCY (AEA), 729 - 21st Street in Bettendorf, Iowa.  Registration and breakfast will be 8:00 to 8:30 and the presentation 8:30 to 12:30 for 4 CEUs.  ADHA members - please note your registration is only $25.00!  Nonmembers - your registration is the usual $15 per hour equaling $60.00.  All checks to be to QCDHA.

Registration is due by September 20th for the early bird price, but also so we can order any samples and our breakfasts.

Crown Seating has been very generous to donate a chair that we will in turn donate all the proceeds to support the Bethany Give Kids a Smile mobile clinic.  If anyone in your office wishes to participate we are glad to include them in this opportunity, even if they do not attend the class.  Tell your dentist not to miss out on this opportunity.  The chair is a $725.00 value and it will be $10 for one opportunity, $25 for three opportunities to take the chair home with you.  Please make checks out to Bethany for Children and Families, in the memo line GKAS will direct your donation to the mobile clinic.  I will be making a $25 donation because I could use it with my computer!  And of course, we will accept cash
